About this site
Pitches: 20 Opening Dates: Open All Year Fron Farm Fishery is a small family run fishery and campsite situated between Bontnewydd and Bronant, nestled in the beautiful countryside of Wales. Its an ideal location to step back from the hustle and bustle of life and spend time as a family. The campsite offers 20 grass tent pitches 3 hardstandings. You can sit back relax and unwind, watch the red kites overhead, the dragonflys skimming over the lakes, or just sit and listen to the birds singing. The campsite is surrounded by fields and all that nature offers, the tent pitches situated in the top field and is set away from the lakes. We have excellent fishing, but are also ideal for those that want to explore the area whether it be on foot car or cycling, or for those want to sit and contemplate, and watch the wild life. We are small campsite, we have a heated toilet and hot shower block, and washing up facilities, what we lack in facilities we can make up by offering lots of room to stretch your legs. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on their lead. The local shop and pub are in Bronant which is 1 and _ miles away. Our fishery consists of four large lakes ranging from 1 to 2.5 acres, each with a generous selection of top-quality fish for you to catch. The two naturally spring fed trout lakes are abundant with fish, and are replenished regularly with rainbow, blues and of course we have native brown trout. In two the coarse lakes there are a variety of smaller coarse fish and carp into 30lb's, although the carp in there 20s are caught regularly the 30lb'a are older and wiser so do not get caught easily. When you are ready to explore all that Ceredigion and Cardigan bay have to offer. Aberystwyth, Lampeter and Aberaeron are only half an hour away, if you want to explore further afield, there is New Quay, Cardigan, Carmarthen, and lots more to discover. Aberystwyth is a seaside and University town with an abundance of local stores, as well as the cliff railway, it also is the start of the Rheidol Railway to Devils Bridge, The Art Centre and the National Library of Wales. Aberaeron, is a quaint village with a harbour and beach, with local craft shops. Lampeter is also a small town with a University, offering an array of shops. There are local golf courses, cycle routes and horse riding all within half an hours drive.
