Pitches: 15 Opening Dates: Open All Year Located in the Galloway Hills nestled between Dalbeattie Forest and the Solway coastline. We are a great base to explore the stunning Dumfries & Galloway countryside. Set on an 80 acre sheep & horse farm, our camping village offers a variety of camping options. 1. Wild Camping tent pitches 2. Heated timber Glamping cabins for all year round comfortable camping with wood fired hot tubs. 3. Glamping Bothy - posh camping barn with a few extra comforts, optional wood fired hot tubs. Wild Camping Our 'Wild Camping' pitches on set on a secluded ridge overlooking farmland and forest. You can unload your car approx 10-25mtrs from your pitch, car parking is then 30-45mtrs from your tent. A small price to pay for being located in such a beautiful spot. Wild Camping is open April to end of September. We do not have electric hook up points. Camping Cabins We have four types of Camping Cabins at Gorsebank Wigwams - Sleep up to 5, heated, lights, power, fridge, kettle microwave Posh Pods Sleep 4- outdoor canopy dining area, wood fired hot tub Jumbo Pods - Sleep 4 optional wood fired hot tub, heater, lights, power point, fridge, kettle Timber Tents - Sleep 2 (or 1 adult & 2 kids)basic cabins but still heated, light and power point.. Glamping Bothy Split into 2 units one of which sleeps 6 the other sleeps 10. Each have their own kitchen, lounge area with TV, log burning stove, option wood fired hot tub. We are situated only 300mtrs from forest cycle tracks - including the Dalbeattie 7 Stanes mountain bike trails. We have onsite bike hire, secure cycle store and wash down facility. Four onsite fishing ponds, covering fly fishing bait trout fishing, coarse and specimen carp fishing.
