About this site

Pitches: 30 Opening Dates: Open All Year Small, friendly site for touring vans and tents with spectacular views over Mawddach Estuary and direct access to Mawddach cycle trail. We are proud to have featured in The Guardians 10 Best Glamp sites, The Times Coolest Places to Camp, The Telegraphs Ten UK Camp Sites with Incredible Mountain Views, The Independents 10 Best Luxury Coast Camp sites, The is 15 Top Coastal CampsitesWinner of Go North Wales Best Camping, Glamping, Caravan Site 2016. Many walks directly from site (down a steep track)and campers can explore 40 acres of wild woodland and pasture leading to the estuary. We have simple but very clean washing facilities including 2 unisex showers and 4 conventional ladies and gents loos for the touring van site, 2 unisex showers and 2 compost loos for the tent camping field, and separate loo and shower for glampers. We have 2 separate areas for camping - please ensure you pick the one suitable for you to avoid disappointment! For vans, smaller tents and those requiring electric hook ups our 10 pitch touring site is open from 1 March until 3 January. There are 8 hard standing pitches with electric hook ups, plus a few grass pitches for smaller tents with hook ups. The 2 Panorama pitches have the best views. For 2019 we have rearranged the touring van pitches to give people more space so you can choose to book a small van pitch or larger pitch with space for awnings. There is a communal camp fire area. The showers have been completely refurbished and are free and we have added a covered washing up area with hot water and microwave for camper's use. For tent campers, our lower tent camping fields are open from 1 May until 30 September - please see our website for details of whether this wilder area will suit you. There are no electric hook ups here and the pitches are few and far between to maintain the tranquil environment. Many have wonderful estuary views and there is more space than on the top part of the camp site. Each pitch has its own firepit and there is a compost loo and new unisex shower trailer on this level, with conventional loos, wash basins and more unisex showers several hundred metres walk up a steep hill. There are 3 pitches you can park next to in this area, the rest are car free and wheelbarrows are provided to move your kit. There is no access for vans to park or pitch on the lower fields as the track is too steep. We have four yurts set in private woodland, and new for 2019 is a Shepherd's Hut sleeping 4 people.
