Gyrn Ddu (Pronounced "Gurn The", which means "Black Horns") Campsite is a Greener Camping Club Site,located on the ruggedly beautiful coast of the Llyn Peninsula. We're a small family run site, set in 7 acres and with just 10 pitches. There are 8 grass pitches and 2 pre-pitched, fully equipped, cosy glamping structures. Gyrn Ddu Campsite offers environmentally friendly, low impact, old school camping holidays with spectacular views of Caernarfon Bay and Yr Eifl (The Rivals) mountains. We offer comfortable off grid facilities and pride ourselves on maintaining a balance with the nature around us. We use solar lighting, compost toilets and hot LPG showers with biodegradable, eco friendly products to minimise the impact to the environment. Its the perfect location to take a time out from technology and get close to nature. We don't charge extra for the summer holidays, making us affordable for families. Dogs deserve a holiday too! Why not bring your furry pal along for a relaxing break too. Well behaved pooches and their owners are most welcome (Tent Pitches only). Theres plenty of lovely walks along the beach and in the mountains. Glamping - If you love camping but hate taking down a wet tent, why not leave all the hassle to us and treat yoruself to one of our pre pitched glamping structures? We have 2 to choose from: Nomadic Yurt and Bedouin Bell Tent - Both 5m diameter. (4/5 person) - £79 per night. (sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults & 3 children) Each structure comes fully equipped. They even have a wood burning stove for keeping them warm and dry. A seperate kitchen is provided for cooking with all the equipment. Just bring your food, clothes, bedding and a sense of adventure! Grass pitches - £25 per night Min pitch size is 8m x 8m. We have a limited number of larger pitches for family size tents so if your tent is over 6m please let us know before booking. There is a minimum 2 nights stay policy at any time. We may be able to accommodate 1 night stays at quieter times of the year subject to availability Why are we part of the Greener Camping Club? We are situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - a wonderful unspoilt area which is subject to strict planning control. As a result we are only able to operate as a Greener Camping Club members only site. Its easy to join and only costs £10 per year.
