About this site
Pitches: 55 Opening Dates: 01/04 to 26/10 "Enjoy long summer days at our most northerly site" Stay at Inverewe Gardens in June and you are so far north, the sun barely sets. Otters and seals swim in the waters of Loch Ewe and the hills of Wester Ross rise behind it - the sunsets can be spectacular. Osgood Mackenzie's Inverewe Gardens are a few minutes' walk from the site. The gardens were established over 100 years ago and benefit from the warm currents of the North Atlantic Drift - allowing sub-tropical plants to flourish here. Poolewe village is a five-minute walk from site. Slioch Outdoor Shop sells made-to-measure outdoor wear, made at its own factory in the village. Poolewe Burial Ground and Pictish Stones form an intriguing site, covering thousands of years of human habitation. The wilds of Wester Ross have some of the most spectacular scenery in the country - perfect for walking and cycling. Gairloch Marine Life Centre and Cruises offer daily cruises to survey dolphins, whales and seals off the coast. For more information please visit our website . Member price from: £6.80 per person per night
