About this site
Pitches: 150 Opening Dates: 01/04 to 02/11 "Beautifully located on the shores of Loch Lomond" Milarrochy Bay is in Scotland's first National Park, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs. Our site is on the beautiful east shore of Loch Lomond, which you can walk along to discover its sandy coves. West Highland Way footpath passes the site. It runs for 95 miles from Glasgow to Fort William. Walkers can have their bags delivered to their next stopping point. Balloch Castle Country Park is receiving a significant investment to return it to its former glory. National Park rangers regularly run events in the park. Loch Lomond Shores Visitor Centre hosts many activities, including guided canoe trips, bike hire and guided hikes. The Falkirk Wheel is the world's first and only rotating boatlift. It completes the link between the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh by waterway. There are at least 38 islands on Loch Lomond. A mailboat visits some - leaving from Balmaha. Cruises on the Loch leave from Balloch. Walks of varying length and difficulty start from the site. Sample the local water of life at Glengoyne scotch whisky distillery.
