Pitches: 80 Opening Dates: 01/04 to 02/11 "A leading light in the Welsh hills" Rhandirmwyn (pronounced ran-dee-mo-n) means Valley of the Minerals and is in an old lead-mining area in the Towy Valley. This is a glorious place for wildlife and its tranquillity is enhanced by being out of range for mobile phones! Llandovery is just over seven miles from the site. It has a cobbled market square, many old inns, shops, banks and a supermarket. Dinas Nature Reserve is around four miles away. A two-mile trail goes through the reserve and along the River Tywi. Llyn Brianne Reservoir is a lovely place to visit. It provides water to South Wales as well as hydroelectricity. See red kites, ravens and buzzards feed at the Gigrin Farm Bird Reserve in the market town of Rhayader. The Elan Valley is home to some of Britain's rarest wildlife and plants. The Dolaucothi Gold Mines were first exploited by the Romans and mining continued into the 1930s. For more information please visit our website . Member price from: £6.10 per person per night
