Pitches: 30 Opening Dates: End Of May To Mid September A beautiful small site next to the River Blackwater and conveniently placed for exploring the majestic Highlands and Islands . We have a variety of accommodation options for your perfect Scottish Highlands holiday with our 4 simple Holiday options self catering Chalets, Glamping, Camping, Caravaning. Our campsite is situated next to the River Blackwater and is a small campsite of 30 pitches with 12 Electrical Hook-ups(EHU's). Facilities on site include showers , a laundry room with a washer /dryer and now Free WIFI! This is really a special place with our site situated next to the river Blackwater and some of the Munro mountains almost on the doorstep,with great fishing , hiking and mountain biking in close proximity . Everyone is drawn to the river here , not only to watch our local Heron who loves to fish on our stretch of the river but also to enjoy paddling and even swimming .We have also had a visit from an otter and this has been spotted by a few of our campers already. The holiday park is adjacent to the well stocked local grocery shop. The village also has a garage. Restaurants are available in Strathpeffer. We are near to the main road that links Inverness and Ullapool for onward ferry services . Also a fairly short drive to Loch Ness and its attractions . Also there is a bus stop almost outside of our gates that connects to Dingwall and Inverness. If you like tranquility and water then this could be your site . Fishing is in close proximity to the site , the River Blackwater is a tributary that joins to the River Conon ( one of the best Salmon and Sea trout fishing rivers in Scotland ). Permits are available locally . People also fish our river on a catch and release basis . There are good mountain bike trails starting just over the road from the campsite and Bike rental is available in Strathpeffer at Square Wheels.
