Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 90 Opening Dates: 01/03 to 02/11 Barnard Castle - known as "Barney" to the locals - is the nearest town to this lovely site. It is peaceful, yet close to many attractions and the industrial centres of England's north east. A haven for walkers and cyclists. The town of Barnard Castle hosts the Teesdale Thrash on May Day Bank Holiday - a traditional extravaganza of folk song and dance. Antiques are a speciality of the area. Pony trekking is available at Raygill farm, next to the Club Site. June sees the Appleby Horse Fair, when hundreds converge on the town. Horses are ridden - bareback - to the river, where they are washed ready for sale. The Walney to Wear cycleway passes the site. It is one of many walks and cycle routes in the area. For more information please visit our website . Member price from: £7.60 per person per night
