About this site

Beach View Holiday Park is a family run touring park on Sizewell Common near Leiston, sitting inside the Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Landscape with the shingle about 100 metres away. You reach the beach on foot along the coastal path, and the rest of the Suffolk coast opens up quickly: Thorpeness is roughly a mile and a half south, RSPB Minsmere about three miles north, Aldeburgh about three and a half miles away and Dunwich about five. There are 50 level pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, all with 16 amp electric hook-up, most with their own water tap, plus a group of fully serviced hardstandings with water and waste connections. Read this bit twice: Beach View does not take tents. If you want camping without the poles, three Snugg-Pods sleep up to four and come with underfloor heating, a fridge and a microwave, though you still walk to the shower block like everyone else. Group bookings are capped at three pitches and rallies run only in low season, so this is not the spot for a big gathering. What lifts it beyond the facility list is the deliberate quiet: no evening entertainment and no tannoy, just a heated block with free showers, an accessible wet room, a family bathroom with a mini bath and baby change, a laundry, a games room and a beachside bar and cafe open six days a week through summer. The season runs March to November, with touring pitches from £26 a night.

Good to know

Can I bring a tent to Beach View Holiday Park?
No, Beach View does not accept tents of any kind, and the operator states this clearly on its own booking pages. The park takes touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans only. If you want to camp here without towing, book one of the three Snugg-Pods instead, which sleep up to four people.
Are dogs allowed at Beach View Holiday Park?
Yes, dogs are welcome and up to two dogs are permitted per touring pitch. If you are staying in a Snugg-Pod the limit drops to one dog, and you need to bring your own dog bedding and bowls. There is a dog walk on site and the beach is about 100 metres away.
How much does a pitch cost at Beach View?
Touring pitches start from £26 a night for two people, with extra adults, children, dogs, awnings and additional cars charged on top. Snugg-Pods run from £69 a night in low season up to £89 in the holiday period, with a minimum stay of two nights. You book directly through the park website.
How far is the beach from the campsite?
The beach is about 100 metres from the campsite, reached on foot down the coastal footpath, so you can be on the shingle in a couple of minutes. Beach View sits on Sizewell Common between Thorpeness and RSPB Minsmere, inside the Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Landscape.
When is Beach View Holiday Park open?
The season runs from March through to November, with pricing split into low, middle and holiday bands across those months. Beach View is not open all year, so winter trips are out. Seasonal pitches are also available for tourers, and you register for those by phoning the park directly.
Do all the pitches have electric hook-up?
Yes, every pitch at Beach View includes a 16 amp electric hook-up, and most pitches also have their own fresh water tap. If you want more, there is a group of fully serviced hardstanding pitches offering electric, water and waste water connections, which suit larger motorhomes and longer stays.
