Why campers love it here
About this site
Boundary Farm Glamping is a glamping only site, three units in a two acre meadow on a working arable family farm at East Green, Kelsale, near Saxmundham in Suffolk. There are no tent, caravan or motorhome pitches here, so bring a bag and nothing else: you book either one of the two safari tents, Wheat and Barley, each sleeping up to five, or Avena, an A-frame Scandi cabin sleeping four that the owners designed and built themselves. All three come with a wood burner, a private en suite shower and toilet, a proper kitchen, beds made up with linen and towels, and a firepit with a BBQ grill and a starter basket of firewood. Boundary Farm sits inland rather than on the coast: Saxmundham is about 2 miles off, RSPB Minsmere 4 miles, Sizewell beach roughly 5, Aldeburgh nearly 7 and Southwold about 9. The site lies just outside the Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Landscape, whose boundary begins around 3 miles east. Families are welcome and a highchair is available, but dogs are not allowed in any of the units. Guests reliably pick out the space and quiet of the meadow, the personal touch from owners Josie and John, and how well the field works for children with room to roam. The cabin is insulated for year round use while the safari tents close over winter. Minimum stay is two nights and prices are quoted through the operator's booking system.
