Brenda House Touring Caravan Park

Adults only and open from spring to autumn, Brenda House Touring Caravan Park is a quiet, secluded touring site near the market town of Howden in East Yorkshire. This is a caravan and motorhome park with no tent pitches, aimed squarely at touring couples after a calm, grown-up break. Day visitors are not permitted either, which helps keep the site peaceful. The 24 pitches are a generous size on both hardstanding and grass, each with an electric hook-up, and access onto the level site is easy. Howden town centre lies about a mile and a half away, where two of the pubs are dog friendly, and the railway station is roughly five minutes on foot for links to nearby towns. Facilities are straightforward: a toilet block, coin-operated showers at £1 for seven minutes and an Elsan point, though there are no washing-up facilities, so it helps to plan around that. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and Brenda House has a fenced dog play area at the top of the site where they can run under control. The countryside around Howden is flat and easy for cycling, and the town's medieval minster is worth a look. The park runs from 1 March to 31 October, and pitches are booked directly with the owner.
