About this site

Brookside Country Park is an adults-only, five-star touring and holiday-home park at Burton-upon-Stather near Scunthorpe, set in a quiet corner of North Lincolnshire just 150 yards from the River Trent. It takes touring caravans and motorhomes on large hardstanding pitches with 10-amp electric hook-ups, and no tents are allowed, so this is a spot for caravanners and motorhomers after a calm, grown-up base rather than a family camping field. Privately owned holiday homes share the park, which is run by Kingfisher Leisure Parks and has been voted into the Practical Caravan Top 100 sites for several years running. The heated toilet and shower block is kept spotless, and there is a secure Pooch Park for dogs plus the Lincolnshire Edge woodland right behind the park for morning walks. Beyond the gate you can golf, fish, cycle or walk, with Normanby Hall Country Park and its Regency house and walled garden a couple of miles away and Scunthorpe about 6 miles south-east. Pitch prices run from £31 a night in low season up to £39 on bank holidays (minimum three nights), with a full-season seasonal pitch priced at £2,650 for 2026. Book through Brookside Country Park's online system, and note the adults-only rule applies across the whole of this peaceful North Lincolnshire park.

Staff very friendly. Toilet/showers good and very clean. Poor WiFi. No shop or pub, however local pub 5 minute walk from site and is exceptionally friendly( especially at new year… made very welcome). Meals in pub are very good.

Good to know

Is Brookside Country Park adults only?
Yes, Brookside is exclusively for adults across the whole park, both the touring pitches and the privately owned holiday homes. It is a five-star, quiet, grown-up site rather than a family park, so you can expect a calm and peaceful stay throughout your visit.
Can you pitch a tent at Brookside?
No, tents are not allowed at Brookside Country Park. The park takes touring caravans and motorhomes only, on large hardstanding pitches with 10-amp electric hook-ups. If you are camping under canvas you will need to look at a different Lincolnshire site instead.
Are dogs allowed at Brookside Country Park?
Yes, dogs are welcome and there is a secure Pooch Park on site for them. The Lincolnshire Edge woodland directly behind the park and the walks along the River Trent give you plenty of dog-friendly routes straight from your pitch.
How much does it cost to stay?
Touring pitches run from £31 a night in low season, £34 mid, £36 high and £39 on bank holidays (minimum three nights). A full-season seasonal touring pitch is £2,650 for 2026. Bookings are taken through the park's own online system rather than by phone alone.
Where is Brookside Country Park?
It is on Stather Road in Burton-upon-Stather, near Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire (DN15 9DH), just 150 yards from the River Trent. Scunthorpe is about 6 miles south-east and Normanby Hall Country Park is only a couple of miles from the park.
What is there to do nearby?
You can golf, fish, cycle and walk straight from the park, with woodland and River Trent paths on the doorstep. Normanby Hall Country Park, with its Regency mansion, Victorian walled garden and farming museum, is close by for a full day out.
