About this site

Casa Mayor is a quiet, family-run campsite spread across two level acres of Lincolnshire fenland near Spilsby, and unusually for a small members' site it lets you have a fire in the evening. It operates as a Certificated Site with the Camping and Caravanning Club, which means Club membership to book and a cap of five caravans or motorhomes alongside a few tents, so the field never feels crowded. Grass pitches suit tents, caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents, with 16 amp electric hookup and roomier bays for bigger outfits, though there is no hardstanding to fall back on in wet weather. Keep expectations honest on facilities: a ladies' and gents' toilet block with washbasins, an outdoor pot rinse, water points, an Elsan point and recycling, but no showers. Small barbecues and fire pits are fine as long as you tell the owners on arrival, and awnings and dogs cost nothing extra, with a dog walk close by. Spilsby and its Bolingbroke Castle sit about 4 miles off, the Lincolnshire Wolds roll away to the north, and the Skegness coast is roughly 9 miles east. Casa Mayor opens from March to October, with member pitches near Spilsby from £12 a night.

Good to know

Do you need to be a Camping and Caravanning Club member to stay at Casa Mayor?
Yes, Casa Mayor is a member-exclusive Certificated Site, so you book through the Camping and Caravanning Club and need to be a Club member. As a Certificated Site it takes up to five caravans or motorhomes and up to ten tents at once, so it stays small and quiet.
Are campfires allowed at Casa Mayor?
Yes, Casa Mayor allows small barbecues and fire pits, as long as you let the owners know when you arrive. It is one of the few certificated sites in the area to permit them, which makes it a good pick if you like an evening around the fire.
Are dogs allowed at Casa Mayor?
Yes, dogs are welcome and there is no extra charge for them. A designated dog walk sits nearby, and the quiet fenland lanes around the two-acre site give you plenty of room for walks. The site is family friendly too, so children are welcome alongside your dog.
Are there showers at Casa Mayor?
No, there are no showers at Casa Mayor. There is a gentlemen's and ladies' toilet block with washbasins, plus an external pot rinse area, water points, an Elsan point and recycling bins, so you should plan to be fairly self-sufficient on the grass pitches.
Can you bring a tent to Casa Mayor?
Yes, tents are welcome, along with caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents. All pitches are grass, with 16 amp electric hookup available and larger-unit pitches on offer, but there is no hardstanding, so soft ground can be a factor in wet weather.
How much does Casa Mayor cost and when is it open?
Member pitches start from £12 a night, which covers up to two adults and two children, with no extra charge for awnings or dogs. The site is open from 1 March to 31 October. Nearby you will find Spilsby, the Lincolnshire Wolds and the coast at Skegness.
