About this site
Opening Dates: March To November New for 2015 - Bow Top Gypsy Caravan. Sleeps 2. For more information look at our Facebook page. Castlerigg Farm Camping and Caravan Site To make a reservation please ring 017687-72479. The site rule of "Silence after 10.30pm" is in keeping with the wonderful location of this family run site. Castlerigg Farm is 25 min walk down through the woods to Keswick or 25 min walk across the fields to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Located in a particular beautiful and quiet part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, an ideal location for walking and relaxing. Exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. Sorry, no reservations can be made for camping. A site for families, e.g. mum, dad, and children, singles or couples. Sorry, but due to our 10.30pm Silence rule we do not allow groups. We are on a private water supply. To help control water flow and to prevent misuse we charge 50p for showers, there is no charge for any other hot or cold water. We admit new arrivals between 8am and 9.30pm. Well behaved dogs are welcome without charge. Dogs must be on a lead at all times while in the camping fields but we now have a large Dog Walk area where well behaved dogs can be exercised. Our on site Hayloft Cafe Bar and Bistro now has a drinks licence. For more information about menus please follow us on Facebook.
