Pitches: 20 Opening Dates: Open All Year Michael and Teenie Harcus would like to welcome you to their family run campsite in Westray, Orkney - Queen of the isles. Originally a working farm belonging to Michael's family, Chalmersquoy now concentrates on offering good accommodation and a friendly welcome. The campsite is two paddocks to the rear of the original farm buildings and sheltered by earth banks. New for 2016 are 12 hardstanding pitches, along with 16 electric hook-ups, showers, toilets, laundry, drying room and a fully equipped kitchen with hob, microwave and fridge. Michael and Teenie have a large facility for storage so can offer their guests storage for larger items like bikes, motorbikes, kayaks, surfboards etc. The campsite welcomes tents, caravans and motor homes. If you enjoy some live local music than plan your visit over a Tuesday night during the months of June, July and August. Michael and Teenie organise a concert each Tuesday night with various musicians and singers taking part ... including their own "Harcus family" in four part harmony. The concerts are followed by supper and lots of Westray homebakes.
