Pitches: 20 Opening Dates: Open All Year The Campsite at Wheems is in an elevated field with stone dykes, looking south and east towards the sea; beaches and cliffs can be reached on foot in 5 minutes and by car in 2 minutes. The camping fields have now been sculpted into level terraces and planted with shrubs, so you can camp on lots of nice flat areas, making your stay much more comfortable. There are hot showers, toilets and utilities including washing machine and drying line. We also now have an equipped covered kitchen area for all guests. Wheems faces south and east on a hillside above sea-cliffs and beaches,on South Ronaldsay, the Orkney Islands, Scotland. On Orkney there is nature, peace, space and sky. For those travelling light or requiring more substantial dwellings, there are cosy, equipped, solid wooden bothies. We also have a yurt to rent at £50 per night including firewood and a campervan at £70 per night, it is insured for guests, guests need their own insurance. Wheems Campsite overlooks cliffs and sandy beaches to the south within 5 minutes walk.
