Cotna Eco Retreat

Cotna Eco Retreat is an off grid glamping site on a 60 acre organic smallholding at Gorran Churchtown in south Cornwall, where three yurts and a shepherd's hut sit in a green valley with woodland footpaths running down to the sea. The beach at Gorran Haven is about a mile away on foot, Mevagissey harbour is 1.7 miles, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about 2 miles up the road, with quieter sand at Vault and Hemmick beaches within a mile and a half. Each yurt (Gilliflower sleeps 3, Tregonna King sleeps 4) has its own compost toilet, outdoor hot shower, wood burner and firebowl, while the Ismay shepherd's hut by the stream takes a couple plus a bunk. There are no touring pitches, no tents and no electric hookups: power comes from solar and wind, water from a spring, so campers who want hardstandings and a games room should book elsewhere in Cornwall. Campfires are actively encouraged, axes and firewood are on hand, and owners Sara and Dave grow organic fruit and vegetables for breakfast hampers, alongside sourdough baking and foraging courses.
