Cresslands Touring Park

Cresslands Touring Park is a small, family-run touring park for caravans and motorhomes beside the River Glen at Kates Bridge, just south of Bourne in South Lincolnshire. The site sits off the A15 on a reclaimed watercress farm, with Bourne about three miles north for shops and services and Stamford within a short drive to the southwest. There are 12 fully serviced hardstanding pitches, each with a 16A electric hook-up, water and its own grey-water drain, separated by evergreen laurel hedging for a bit of privacy. A hand-built amenity block holds two showers, two toilets and hot-water basins, and there is a covered outdoor dishwashing and laundry area. This is a tidy, adults-and-children-welcome park rather than a big holiday complex, and it does not take tents, so it suits self-contained tourers best. Cats, dogs, parrots and rabbits stay free, and the opposite riverbank is a popular dog walk heading into the Fens toward Tongue End and the nature reserve along the Macmillan Way. Cresslands is open from the start of April to the start of November, with pitches from £25 a night midweek for two people (£29 at weekends), so it is worth calling David to book directly.
