About this site

Pitches: 50 Opening Dates: 01/04 To 30/09 - Family run, grassland site based on a working Organic farm - Ten minutes from Rutland Water Nature Reserve, cycle paths, sports activities, walks and bird watching haven. - Campfires allowed and own produce for sale including organic Lamb, Pork and Chicken - to check availability & book please visit our website As enthusiastic campers Roland and Rebecca opened Cuckoo Farm Campsite to enable their guests to enjoy a little of what they loved about camping and with a site nestled down next to the river and boarded by ancient Cracked Willow trees, Cuckoo Farm Campsite is just that; a family friendly campsite where you can enjoy the outdoors and get back to basics with friends and family. The farm is a working farm and is home to sheep, pigs, turkeys, chickens and a small heard of fallow deer. With farm walks and tours available you will be able to meet the animals, including our resident Black Nosed Valais sheep the cutest sheep in the world) and find out a little bit more about life on the farm. You can cycle (10mins) or walk (20 - 25mins) to the pretty Rutland village of Ketton across public footpaths and quite country roads for a drink or a bite to eat at the pub or if you fancy something more drive to the beautiful market town of Stamford. We are an Organic farm located next to a Site of Special Scientific Interest which means the fields and skies are home to abundant wildlife including deer, red kites, kestrels, buzzards and of course Cuckoos! So whether you want to stay on the farm or explore the wider area there is something for everyone at Cuckoo Farm Campsite. A range a farm produce is available on site including organic eggs, chicken, lamb, venison, pork, sausages and burgers. As well as firepits you can hire a range of campfire cooking equipment so you can enjoy the full campfire cook out experience - equipment is limited and must be booked. Rutland Water Reservoir and Nature Reserve is only 4 miles away and is a great place to get outside and enjoy the countryside. Rutland Water is home to a variety of water sports and a fantastic 23-mile circular route, which is largely car free making it a fantastic place to cycle with the kids. If you dont have your own bike or cant fit in the car then you can walk or take advantage of one of
