About this site

Pitches: 20 Opening Dates: April, May, June, July & August Damson Field is a small, quiet, pop-up site with 20 well spaced pitches set in a 10 acre field and is situated in the peace and quiet of the East Sussex countryside, overlooking Bodiam Castle and just outside the village of Ewhurst Green. We can accommodate 15 tents and 5 motorhomes or campervans. There are 2 clean portaloos (one for boys and one for girls) and there is a standpipe with fresh water. As the site is rustic and unspoilt, there are no showers or waste disposal unit. The site is secure and fenced. Owners Terry and Lynda welcome you to visit Damson Field where you can BBQ, light your campfire in the evenings and chat, toast marshmallows or just sit and watch the night sky and listen to the sounds of nature. You wont believe just how many stars you can see! Wildlife is actively encouraged and there are badgers, deer and pheasant in the area - lovely sounds to hear while watching the sun set! The site is not suitable for games such as football. NOISE must be kept to an absolute minimum between the hours of 2300h and 0800h to allow all campers to get a well earned, restful night's sleep and to ensure everyone is mindful of locals living nearby. No parties, hen or stag nights or loud music - the emphasis is on getting back to nature and enjoying the wildlife, peace and quiet, and beauty that the location offers; so please respect this and your fellow campers. Well behaved dogs are welcome to come to Damson for their holidays. ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD WHILST ON SITE, AND EXERCISED OFF SITE. The affordable price of £10 for adults, £3.50 for children aged 3 to 15. Small people under 3 are free, as are dogs. Arrivals between 1400h and 2000h please - earlier/later by prior arrangement. Departures by 12 noon unless otherwise arranged. As this is a rustic field with no mod cons, we ask that you please take all your rubbish home with you on departure, so please ensure you bring suitable rubbish bags. We cant emphasise enough that we strive to minimise environmental impact. Please note that this is a rustic, simple, pop-up site for spring & summer only (the best time of year, of course!) but the setting is idyllic and the local area is lovely and worth visiting. We also offer the entire field for event hire and wedding/birthday hire all year round, and welcome artist camping weekends or similar groups. You just couldnt ask for a more picturesque venue!
