Why campers love it here
About this site
Dartmoor View Holiday Park is a lodge and holiday home park at Whiddon Down, near Okehampton in Devon, and it no longer offers touring or camping pitches. The park sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park within landscaped grounds and a pond, a good base for hiking the moor, spotting wild ponies and driving on to the north Cornwall coast. Accommodation is all self catering, with two and three bedroom lodges, holiday homes and static caravans to rent or buy, some with private hot tubs for star gazing under Dartmoor's dark skies. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool, a children's play area, coarse fishing, table tennis and badminton, an owners' lounge and a launderette, and the park holds a five star VisitEngland grade. It suits families and couples who want a comfortable lodge or caravan near the moor rather than anyone towing a caravan or pitching a tent. Run by Haulfryn and open all year, Dartmoor View Holiday Park takes holiday bookings through Hoseasons, and dogs are welcome on a break at Whiddon Down.
