Why campers love it here
About this site
This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents. This is a club member only site - you can usually join on site Pitches: 10 Opening Dates: Easter/march - End October Doliago Farm Campsite is located on a family farm on the eastern edge of the Cambrian Mountains right in the heart of Mid Wales. The campsite is just a stones throw from both the Wye Valley Walk and Sustran Cycle Route and has easy access from the A470. Visitors regularly head, either on foot, bicycle or car, in the direction of the Elan Valley and Rhayader which are only 4 miles away. The site is off grid and has simple facilities but the lack of electric hook-up is made up for by the view and the peace and quiet. It's not for everyone but if you want to stay on a working farm and can manage without the trapping of home it's for you. The field site is level so it's great for tents, caravans and campervans. We don't allocate pitches - it's first come first but we don't overcrowd the site because we want everyone to have a share of the views Well behaved dogs are welcomed, and walkers have direct access from the farm onto the open hills where it is possible to walk for hours without seeing another person. Fire pits available to hire and include logs and lighting wood, so you can sit out and look up at the night sky, weather permitting. Simplicity and a working farm experience.
