About this site

Grange Farm is a small adults-only Certificated Location run by Thady and Traci Griffith on their farm at Salmonby, out in the Lincolnshire Wolds near Horncastle. Set across around 12 acres of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the site has just five hardstanding pitches, each fully serviced with an electric hook-up, fresh water and a grey waste outlet, and it is reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members bringing caravans or motorhomes rather than tents. Horncastle, with its shops, banks and supermarkets, sits about 5.5 miles away, Louth and Woodhall Spa are within easy reach, and the blue flag beaches of the Lincolnshire coast are around 18 miles off. What lifts Grange Farm above a simple overnight halt is the setting and the extras: a private coarse fishing lake that is free to guests and closed to the public, a small enclosed dog exercise area with direct access to a public footpath, and quiet equestrian livery if you want to bring a horse. It was named the Club's Best CL in England, North for 2025, so standards run high. The main season is late March to the end of October, booked directly with the owners, which makes Grange Farm a calm, dog-friendly base for couples touring this quiet corner of Lincolnshire.

Good to know

Is Grange Farm open all year?
No, the main season runs from late March to the end of October, listed as 23 March to 31 October for 2026. The owners say stays outside those dates may sometimes be possible by arrangement, so email ahead if you want an out-of-season pitch in the Wolds.
Do I need to be a Club member to stay?
Yes, Grange Farm is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location with five pitches reserved exclusively for Club members. It takes caravans and motorhomes rather than tents, and bookings are made directly with owners Thady and Traci Griffith.
Is Grange Farm adults only?
Yes, it is an adults-only site, which keeps things peaceful and geared towards couples touring the Lincolnshire Wolds. All five pitches are hardstanding and fully serviced, so it suits caravanners and motorhomers after a quiet, well-kept base rather than families with children.
Are dogs allowed at Grange Farm?
Yes, the owners describe the site as dog welcoming, with a small enclosed dog exercise area and direct access to a public footpath. Several dog-friendly blue flag beaches on the Lincolnshire coast sit within about 18 miles, so it works well for walkers with dogs.
Is there fishing on site?
Yes, guests have free use of a private coarse fishing lake that is not open to the general public. It sits a short walk from the pitches down a footpath, and the surrounding Lincolnshire Wolds are good for walking, cycling and horse riding too.
How far is Grange Farm from Horncastle and the coast?
The market town of Horncastle, with supermarkets, banks and restaurants, is about 5.5 miles away. The blue flag beaches of the Lincolnshire coast are roughly 18 miles from the site, and buses run from the village towards Horncastle and Lincoln.
