Why campers love it here
About this site
Opening Dates: Open All Year Nestled between a special nature conservation area and our own wildflower meadow, the campsite has been created with tiered pitches to enhance the infinite views across the Nent valley. We also have a small wooded area with some glades for those wanting to pitch up in different surroundings! Theres plenty of space to either pick an individual pitch or larger areas for groups wanting to camp together. Once you have unloaded all your equipment, cars are parked in our separate car park across the road, keeping the site safe and quiet for everyone. The car park also has 6 electric hook-ups and an Elsan disposal point for caravans and motorhomes. Several of our guests have remarked that this was as close to wild camping as you could get but still have access to all the facilities you would want on a modern campsite! With nature all around you, this beautiful local area is perfect for getting out and exploring either on foot, 2 or 4 wheels. Stunning geological formations, waterfalls, unique flora and fauna not to mention the special industrial history, the North Pennines has something to offer all ages. Whether you are a solo traveller or in a group, we would love to welcome you to this stunning corner of England and make sure you have an amazing time escaping the pressures of modern living! With our own spring water supply the whole site has been created to help keep our environmental footprint to a minimum.
