Pitches: 30 Camping Pitches, Bell Tents and Shepherds Hut Opening Dates: Open All Year Hale Farm is a working, family run farm situated in 56 acres of peaceful,rural Sussex countryside.We offer spacious camping and glamping,in a beautiful location and the opportunity to meet our farm residents.For those of you that don't quite do camping but want to escape to the countryside our utterly charming Plankbridge Shepherd's Hut provides an ideal romantic getaway for couples.It is beautifully equipped for everything you will need for a memorable,comfortable,relaxing stay. Relax and unwind in one of our beautiful, new for 2020 Luxury 7 metre Bell Tents. Set in our stunning 9 acre wildflower meadow you really will feel like you have escaped everyday life! Our campsite is a great place for families, walkers, cyclists & holiday makers! Situated along the Weald Way at the head of the Cuckmere Valley, it is the perfect location for exploring the South Downs Country Park, The High Weald and the Sunshine Coast by car,cycling or walking.With beautiful views, and an adjacent footpath which links us to the Weald Way where two excellent local pubs,offering good food&drink(The Six Bells & The Gun) can both be walked to. During your stay meet Oreo & Bailey our friendly donkeys and Tilly & Ted our lovely ponies. See our rare breed Oxford, Sandy and Black Pigs,lying in the sunshine or rooting around in the soil.Enjoy feeding our free range chickens, geese, turkeys and resident ducks.Watch our pedigree flock of Lleyn sheep grazing across the farm. The farm is open every morning from 9-10.30am for you to feed and meet the animals. Our free range eggs, sausages and bacon are available to buy so you can have fresh produce for breakfast!Any other produce&essentials and an excellent cafe can be found at our local village shop. Campfires are welcomed and each pitch has its own fire pit for you to use.Logs and fire starter packs are available to purchase, to make for a perfect evening under the stars. Our environmentally friendly compost toilets and gas fired hot showers will ensure you have as comfortable a stay as possible.We also have undercover washing up areas and provide standpipes for fresh,mains drinking water. There are no hidden costs to camp we simply charge £12 per adult per night, children from 5-16 years old £2 per night and children under 5 years old stay for free. The Shepherds Hut is available all year. Camping and glamping pitches are available from April until October.Please see the online availability calendar and website for pricing.
