About this site

Twelve hard pitches, adults only, no tents: Jaydene Touring Caravan Park is a small, quiet touring park at Gisleham just outside Lowestoft in Suffolk, open all year and owned by Pete since 2018. It sits on London Road with a bus stop outside, roughly 3 miles south of Lowestoft town centre, about a mile from Pakefield beach and a mile and a half from Kessingland beach, with Africa Alive within a mile. Every pitch has a 16 amp hook up and sits close to the shower and toilet rooms, and there is a laundry room, an Elsan point, a fresh water point, free wifi, 24-hour CCTV and a dedicated dog walking area. Two things to be clear about: Jaydene Touring Caravan Park takes no tents or gazebos at any time, and it is strictly adults only, so families with children need to look elsewhere along the Suffolk coast. Up to two dogs are welcome on leads at no extra charge, and awnings, wifi and showers are not charged for either. A clubhouse and bar with a pool table opens at weekends and on bank holidays. Electricity is metered so you pay only for what you use, seasonal pitches are new for 2026, and pitches start from £22 a night in the low season, rising to £32 a night from April to September, booked direct by phone.

Good to know

Does Jaydene Touring Caravan Park allow tents?
No, tents and gazebos are not allowed at Jaydene at any time. The park takes touring caravans and motorhomes only, on 12 hard pitches. If you are camping under canvas near Lowestoft you will need to book somewhere else along the Suffolk coast.
Is Jaydene Touring Caravan Park adults only?
Yes, Jaydene is strictly an adults-only touring park, so families with children cannot book. It is a small, quiet 12 pitch site at Gisleham, and that adult-only rule plus the size is the whole point of the place for most of its regulars.
Are dogs allowed at Jaydene?
Yes, up to two dogs are welcome per pitch at no extra charge, and there is a dedicated dog walking area on site. Dogs must be kept on leads around the park. Awnings, wifi and use of the shower facilities are not charged for either.
How much is a pitch at Jaydene Touring Caravan Park?
Standard pitches start from £22 a night in the low season from October, rising to £32 a night from April to September, based on two people. Fully serviced pitches cost £30 or £40 a night for the same periods. Electricity is metered separately.
Is Jaydene open all year?
Yes, Jaydene Touring Caravan Park is open all year at Gisleham, with rates split between an April to September main season and a cheaper winter rate. Seasonal pitches are new for 2026, and caravan storage runs all year at £12.50 a week.
How far is Jaydene from the beach?
Pakefield beach is about a mile from the park and Kessingland beach around a mile and a half, so both are close. Lowestoft town centre is roughly 3 miles north, Africa Alive is within a mile, and there is a bus stop outside on London Road.
