About this site

Kessingland Beach Holiday Park is a large Parkdean Resorts park sitting directly behind the beach on the Suffolk coast, and unlike plenty of holiday parks it genuinely takes touring and camping alongside its static caravans. The park has direct access to the beach, with Kessingland village about a mile away, Africa Alive around a mile up the road, Lowestoft roughly five miles north and Southwold about six miles south. The touring and camping area is seasonal and accepts tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans, served by a shower and toilet block with baby changing, drinking water taps, waste and water disposal points, fitted hairdryers and a launderette. Be honest with yourself about what you are booking: this is a busy, lively family park rather than a quiet field. Indoor and outdoor pools, an adventure playground, a multi sports court, a Nisa shop, the Boathouse Bar and Restaurant, a chip shop and evening entertainment are all part of the deal, so if you want dark skies and silence you want somewhere inland. Campers rate the touring wardens and the state of the facilities block, and just as regularly point out that pitches sit close together and that the furthest camping field is a fair walk from the toilets. The indoor pool runs from mid February to early November and the outdoor pool through the summer. Touring and camping prices at Kessingland Beach are quoted through the Parkdean Resorts booking system.

Good to know

Does Kessingland Beach take tents and touring caravans?
Yes, this is one of the Parkdean parks with a proper touring and camping area, and it accepts tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans. The area is seasonal rather than open year round. Static caravans and apartments are also available if you would rather not bring your own.
How far is the beach from Kessingland Beach Holiday Park?
You have direct access to the beach from the park, so there is no drive and no road to cross. The park sits behind the shore about a mile from Kessingland village itself, with Lowestoft roughly five miles north and Southwold around six miles south along the Suffolk coast.
Is there a swimming pool at Kessingland Beach?
Yes, there are both indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool runs from mid February to early November, so it covers most of the touring season, while the outdoor pool opens from late May to the end of August. Both are included for guests staying on the park.
Are dogs allowed at Kessingland Beach Holiday Park?
Yes, the park is dog friendly and Parkdean runs dog-friendly breaks across its sites. Rules and any charges differ between touring pitches and rented accommodation, so confirm the details for your specific booking with Parkdean directly before you travel rather than assuming.
Is Kessingland Beach a quiet campsite?
No, and it does not try to be. This is a large, busy family park with evening entertainment, a showbar, pools and an adventure playground. Campers regularly note that pitches are close together. If you want a quiet, dark and low-key pitch, look at the smaller inland Suffolk sites instead.
How much do touring and camping pitches cost?
Prices are not published as a flat nightly rate. They are quoted through the Parkdean Resorts booking system and vary considerably by date, pitch type and party size, so put your dates into the park page to get a real figure. Booking direct with Parkdean is the operator route.
