Laurel Park

Laurel Park is a secluded family-run campsite near Gedney Broadgate, close to Holbeach in the Lincolnshire Fens, though for 2026 the owners have paused individual camping and are running the site as a retreat centre and exclusive-use venue. When operating as a campsite it offered grass touring pitches (electric and non-electric, all at least 5 by 8 metres with 6 metres between them), glamping safari tents and converted 100-year-old railway goods wagons that sleep four. Tall Leylandii hedges wrap the whole site, giving privacy and shelter from the wind, and there is deliberately no WiFi so you can switch off for a few days. The setting is deep Fenland farming country: Holbeach sits about 4 miles west, Spalding around 11 miles west and the market town of Long Sutton roughly 5 miles east, with Wisbech a short drive south. Beyond the pitches, Laurel Park is known for its animals (guinea pigs, donkeys, chickens and rabbits), an on-site yoga barn, a communal lounge with games and shared fridge, fire pit hire and a small campsite shop. For 2026 the whole site can be booked exclusively for events and retreats (up to 25 pitches or 60 guests), with prices on application.
