Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 35 Opening Dates: Open All Year Lound House is a quiet, family run site located 4miles South of Whitby. It is host of panoramic views covering the picturesque town, the North Yorkshire Moor National Park, and the surrounding area. Ideally located for exploring the Heritage coast of Yorkshire with the ancient seaport of Whitby just 5 miles, known for its connections with Captain James Cook, 3 miles of sandy beaches and a bustling harbour all overlooked by the Abbey ruins. The NYM steam train departs from Whitby throughout the season and takes a memorable journey through the glorious Esk valley into Heartbeat villages of Grosmont and Goathland. Smugglers coves of Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick bay are easily reached, where fossil hunting and rock pooling will entertain the children for hours. Market towns, such as Pickering, Malton and Helmsley are all easily reached. Visit some of the many historic homes, halls and castles that surround this area returning at the end of your day to the peace and tranquillity on offer in Littlebeck. An abundance of reputable pubs, restaurants and tea rooms locally. Dogs are welcome on site, but must be kept on a lead at all times; bridle and cycle tracks can open up breath taking scenery.
