About this site

Pitches: 30 Opening Dates: March Until October Located in a small peaceful rural hamlet known as Ellerburn, which is around 1 mile from the picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale and a couple of miles walk from Dalby Forest. A friendly family run site on a working farm that welcomes children, dogs, bikers, walkers and those that just want to enjoy the countryside. If you want to drink all day and party all night then this site is not for you. Simple well-maintained clean toilet block, shower, pot wash area and chemical disposal area. Plenty of space for families to play, a stream that runs along the site - bring your wellies for a paddle. Dog walks and bike rides directly from the site to either Thornton-le-Dale or Dalby Forest. We have a strict low noise only rule after 10pm to ensure all our campers have a peaceful night. If you would like a group booking please telephone. We are now taking bookings for Pickering War Weekend which is 11th, 12th and 13th October 2019. We are only three miles from Pickering and we are ideal for those needing extra space for their army vehicles! Why not dress up in 1940s period costume and enjoy being part of the singing, dancing, parades and re-enactments. Please note: There are no electric hook-ups on the campsite as we wish to keep the site rural.
