Why campers love it here
About this site
Monarch Lakeside Park is a small adults-only Certificated Location beside the owners' fishing lake at Hubberts Bridge, about 4 miles west of Boston in the Lincolnshire fens. This is a five-pitch members' site under the Caravan and Motorhome Club scheme, so you need to be a Club member and bring a caravan or motorhome, as tents are not taken. Pitches are a mix of hardstanding and grass, all with 16amp electric on a coin meter (£3 at arrival), and the two summer lakeside pitches look straight out over the water. Facilities are simple but sorted: exclusive-use showers and toilets included in the price, free covered dish washing, fresh water and bollard lighting around the site. The owners describe it as an off-the-beaten-track hideaway, and a riverbank cycle path runs all the way into Boston, so you can leave the car and pedal in for shops or a meal. A pub sits within a mile and Hubberts Bridge has its own small train station. Coarse fishing is available a few miles away according to the site's own listing, and for Club members the quiet, adults-only feel is the real reason to book Monarch Lakeside Park. The season runs from March to October, and pitch fees are arranged through the Club rather than published online.
