About this site

Morecambe Lodge Caravan Park is a private holiday home park on Shore Lane at Bolton-le-Sands, on the edge of Morecambe Bay, where the touring pitches are let by the season rather than by the night. The park has direct access to the beach, with the shore about 150 metres from the touring field entrance at Bolton-le-Sands, and the sunsets across the bay towards the Lakeland hills are the reason a lot of owners keep coming back. Lancaster and Morecambe are both close by, and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks are within reach for a day out, with the Forest of Bowland and the Fylde beaches in the other directions. There are 25 seasonal touring pitches, fully serviced hard standings with a 16 amp electric supply (32 amp on the four centre pitches), a grey waste point and reduced pressure water for direct connection, plus parking for your car alongside. The shower blocks include disabled washing facilities, and there is a laundry and pot washing on site. Here is the part that matters: if you are touring and want a pitch for a night or a long weekend, Morecambe Lodge is not the site for you. The main park of 174 holiday homes is kept for owners and their family and friends, and the touring field is sold as a seasonal berth. Seasonal pitches run from 1 March to 31 October and start from £3,000 for the season, not including electricity.

Good to know

Can I book a touring pitch for one night?
No, Morecambe Lodge does not take nightly or short stay touring bookings. The 25 touring pitches are sold as seasonal berths only, so you pay for the whole season and come and go as you please. Campers looking for a nightly pitch near Morecambe Bay will need a different site.
How much is a seasonal touring pitch?
Seasonal pitches start from £3,000.00 for the season, and that figure does not include electricity. Wi-Fi is available. The season runs from 1 March to 31 October. Contact the park directly on 01524 824361 to check availability, as pitch numbers are limited to 25 in total.
What are the opening dates?
The seasonal touring field is open from 1 March until 31 October. The wider park runs a longer season, from 1 March to 31 December for holiday homes. The park is closed to everyone in January and February, so there is no winter touring or storage season here.
How far is the beach?
The beach is about 150 metres from the touring field entrance, and the park has direct access to the shore at Bolton-le-Sands. Morecambe Bay sunsets across to the Lakeland fells are the park's calling card. Lancaster, Morecambe, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are all within reach for days out.
What services are on the touring pitches?
Every seasonal pitch is a fully serviced hardstanding with a 16 amp electric supply, a grey waste point and reduced pressure water for direct connection, plus parking for your car alongside. The four centre pitches carry a 32 amp supply instead. Modern shower blocks, disabled washing facilities, a laundry and pot washing are all on site.
Can I pitch a tent at Morecambe Lodge?
No, Morecambe Lodge does not take tents. It is a private caravan park made up of 174 privately owned holiday homes plus 25 seasonal touring pitches for caravans. The main park is reserved for holiday home owners and their family and friends rather than passing visitors.
