Moss Hagg Farm Campsite

Small, simple and priced to match, Moss Hagg Farm Campsite is a 25-pitch farm site on the wooded western edge of Selby in North Yorkshire, about 20 miles from the centre of York. The site takes its name from the neighbouring patch of woodland, which children are free to explore, and a pub serving real ales and good food sits a five minute drive away. Eight pitches have metered electric hook-ups reserved for caravans and motorhomes, while 17 further pitches take tents and units without electric; hook-up is not permitted in tents, so tent campers should arrive prepared to go without power. Facilities are modest but practical: a toilet and shower building (showers are £2 for five minutes), a washing-up room, a chemical disposal point, grey waste disposal and drinking water taps around the site. Open fires are banned and barbecues have been suspended over fire risk, day visitors are not allowed, and the atmosphere is deliberately relaxed with minimal rules. This is honest, no-frills camping near Selby rather than a holiday park, and it suits couples and families who want peace at a fair price. Moss Hagg Farm Campsite opens from 30 April to 7 September 2026, with pitches from £25 a night for two adults and up to three children.
