About this site

Nutty Cottage is a small adults-only Certificated Location on the edge of Louth, set within a seven-acre plot in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Run by owners Jane and Mike, who are just across the field if you need them, this is a quiet members' site under the Caravan and Motorhome Club scheme, so you need to be a Club member and bring a caravan, motorhome or small campervan, as tents are not taken. There are five pitches with 16-amp electric hook-ups, hardstanding, fresh water and waste disposal, and the setting gives you sweeping views over the Wolds along with regular sightings of deer, rabbits and birds of prey. Louth, a handsome Georgian market town, is barely a couple of miles away, and handily the bus into Louth and out to the coast at Mablethorpe stops right outside the gate, so you can leave the car on the pitch. Cadwell Park motor circuit is about 6 miles down the road for race weekends. Dogs are welcome, and the surrounding countryside is made for long walks. Nutty Cottage suits couples and solo travellers after peace, wildlife and Wolds walking rather than families or anyone wanting on-site entertainment. Pitch fees are arranged through the Club rather than published online.

Good to know

Is Nutty Cottage adults only?
Yes, Nutty Cottage is an adults-only Certificated Location, so no under-18s stay. With just five pitches, wildlife around the fields and Wolds views, it is aimed at couples and solo travellers who want a calm base near Louth rather than a busy, family-focused park.
Do I need to be a Caravan and Motorhome Club member to stay?
Yes, this is a members' Certificated Location under the Caravan and Motorhome Club scheme, so you book as a Club member. Pitch fees are handled through the Club and owners rather than listed online, and there are five 16-amp electric hook-ups on hardstanding pitches.
Can I bring a tent to Nutty Cottage?
No, the site takes caravans, motorhomes and small campervans only, not tents. It has five hardstanding pitches with 16-amp electric, fresh water and waste disposal, set within a seven-acre plot on the edge of Louth in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome. The seven-acre setting and the surrounding Lincolnshire Wolds give you plenty of open countryside for walks straight from the site, and you may spot deer, rabbits and birds of prey while you are out and about with them.
How far is the coast and what is nearby?
The coast at Mablethorpe is a bus ride east, and the bus into Louth and out to the seaside stops right outside the gate. Louth itself is a couple of miles away, and Cadwell Park motor racing circuit is around 6 miles off for race weekends.
When is Nutty Cottage open?
Nutty Cottage is listed as operating across the year, though as a small Certificated Location it is worth confirming current dates with the owners when you book. Arrivals fit around the owners, Jane and Mike, who live on site, so let them know your expected time.
