About this site

Oaklea is an adults-only certificated location (5CL) set in a 16-acre arboretum and woodland garden within a mile of Woodhall Spa, best known for the peace and the rare mature trees you pitch among. The site sits in the parkland countryside of East Lindsey, with Woodhall Spa village and its shops, bakery, delicatessen and Kinema-in-the-Woods cinema roughly a 20-minute walk away, Horncastle about 6 miles northeast and Lincoln around 18 miles west. This is a small members' site under the Caravan and Motorhome Club scheme, so it takes caravans, motorhomes and small campervans only, not tents, and pitches are widely spaced and flat with 16-amp electric hookup, water and a night-light at each bollard. There is no toilet block, so you need a van with its own washroom, and because Oaklea is adults-only it does not suit families with children. What stands out is the setting itself: ten acres of parkland full of unusual trees and seven acres of woodland garden give you a genuinely quiet, green base rather than a regimented field. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB starts nearby for walking and low-traffic touring. Booking and current pitch fees are arranged directly with the owners at Oaklea.

Good to know

Can I bring a tent to Oaklea?
No, Oaklea is a certificated location for touring caravans, motorhomes and small campervans only, so tents are not accepted. You also need a van with its own washroom because the site has no toilet block, which keeps it geared towards self-contained touring units.
Is Oaklea adults-only?
Yes, Oaklea is run as an adults-only site aimed at quiet, relaxed stays, so it does not take families with children. The owners set it up for peaceful recreation among the trees, which makes it better suited to couples and solo travellers wanting calm.
Are dogs allowed at Oaklea?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Oaklea, with 16 acres of parkland and woodland garden to walk them around on site. The nearby Lincolnshire Wolds and Woodhall Spa's woodland paths give you plenty more space for longer walks too.
Does Oaklea have electric hook-up?
Yes, every pitch has a modern bollard supplying 16-amp electric hookup, water and a night-light. Pitches are widely spaced and flat, with grass pitches plus some hard-standings suited to motorhomes. Remember there is no toilet block, so bring a fully equipped van.
How far is Oaklea from Woodhall Spa?
Oaklea sits within a mile of Woodhall Spa, roughly a 20-minute walk into the village centre. There you will find shops, a bakery and delicatessen, the Kinema-in-the-Woods cinema, a golf course and an open-air lido for warmer days.
How do I book Oaklea and what does it cost?
Booking is arranged directly with the owners at Oaklea, who confirm pitch availability and current fees on enquiry. As a small certificated location it has limited pitches, so it is worth contacting them ahead in the busy summer season to be sure of a spot.
