Why campers love it here
About this site
Adults only and built around the season rather than the overnight stop, Oaks Caravan Park trades today as Oaks Holiday Park, a small family-run park set in open farmland at Bucklesham between Ipswich and Felixstowe. The Suffolk coast is about a ten minute drive, Woodbridge and the River Deben sit roughly 5 miles north, Felixstowe around 5 miles south and Ipswich some 7 miles west, and the village pub, The Shannon, is on the doorstep in Bucklesham. The park runs a fifty week season and its pitches are seasonal: level grass, generously sized with room for a caravan, awning, car and a sitting area, each with a 16 amp electric connection and its own water tap, with electricity bought from the office on top of the pitch fee. Nightly touring pitches and tents are not advertised on the park's current website, and it is adults only, so families and anyone after a one-night stop should ring before planning a trip. The facility block has been modernised recently, is heated and cleaned daily, and there is a laundry with washers, dryers and a utility sink beside the chemical waste point. Oaks Holiday Park publishes no nightly rates, so contact the park at Bucklesham, Suffolk for seasonal pitch availability and prices.
