Ouse Meadow Campsite

Pitches: 40 Opening Dates: 14/4 To 30/09 Idyllically situated on the banks of the River Ouse opposite Bluebell Railway, Ouse Meadow offers a back-to-nature camping experience in the beautiful Sussex countryside. Tents only, the emphasis here is on peace and quiet, back-to-basics with campfires for that wild camping experience in a wonderful location. For more information and reservations please visit our website Pitches The camping meadow is large so you should never get the feeling that people are on top of you. There are no fixed pitches so it is ideal for large family groups which can spread themselves out and erect the odd gazebo for cooking etc and rope swings for the kids. We will ask you to make your fire in an existing fire pit if there is one. Campfires We believe that a small campfire is a crucial part of the family camping experience. We have only sensible restrictions on campfires. Foraging for kindling is allowed, and popular with children, but big logs from the woods should not be burned for ecological reasons and obviously no branches should be cut from trees
