Why campers love it here
About this site
Peewit Caravan Park is a 13 acre touring and holiday home park in Felixstowe, 900 yards from the town's four miles of seafront and family owned since 1965. That location is the headline: the beach, the promenade, the Beach Street food huts, a Lidl and Felixstowe town centre are all walkable, and the park itself is tree-lined and landscaped rather than a bare field. Touring pitches are all 10 metres wide and take a caravan, motorhome, campervan or tent, with 16 amp electric hook-up, an awning up to 2.5m and well behaved dogs on leads included in the fee. Children under 10 stay free and there is a play area, so Peewit works for families, and it takes rallies too. New toilet and shower facilities and a drive-over grey waste area arrived for the 2024 season and campers rate them highly. Be honest with yourself about noise, though: Britain's largest container port is next door and the railway runs nearby, so reviewers do mention sound from the docks and trains depending on the wind. Peewit Caravan Park holds an AA five star rating and averages 4.7 from nearly 300 Google reviews. The 2026 season runs from 28 March to 1 November, tent pitches start from £22 a night and caravan or motorhome pitches from £28, booked through the park's own online system.
