Why campers love it here
About this site
Reighton Sands Holiday Park is a hillside Haven park at the southern end of Filey Bay in North Yorkshire, with direct access to 5 miles of sandy beach running north towards Filey. The park sits by the village of Reighton, 5 miles from Filey and its train station, with Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head and Scarborough all close for days out. The touring area is small and simple: 47 basic and electric pitches served by a heated shower block, a covered dishwashing area with four sinks, waste disposal points and a play area of its own. It best suits touring caravans and motorhomes; generators, gazebos and pup tents are not permitted, the whole park sits on a steep slope, and Haven only takes tents at some of its parks, so tent campers need to confirm the rules with Haven before booking. The beach is the standout: a tractor train trundles guests down the steep path every dry day from 9am to 4pm, and returning visitors rate the friendly staff and the calmer pace compared with the bigger Haven parks nearby. Off the sand there is a heated indoor pool, a summer lazy river, a nine hole golf course spread across 140 acres and the Hawkwood restaurant. Reighton Sands touring pitches start from £10 a night through Haven's booking system, and dogs stay for £1 a night each.
