Why campers love it here
About this site
Run Cottage Touring Park is a small, family-run, adults-only touring park of 45 generously sized pitches and two luxury glamping pods, set in 4.5 acres of Suffolk parkland at Hollesley on the Heritage Coast. Woodbridge is about five miles north west, Shingle Street beach under two miles east, and Rendlesham Forest a short drive north for walking and cycling. The park sits inside the Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Landscape, and the large pond and the stream at the bottom of the site pull in barn owls, deer, moorhens, egrets and the occasional kingfisher. Caravan and motorhome pitches all have electric hook-up, and fully serviced hard standings add fresh and grey water drainage. Tents get a thin deal here: the tariff covers small tents with a bicycle and pup tents only, so a big family tent will not work, and since Run Cottage is adults only, nobody under 18 stays. Campfires are not allowed. What regulars come back for is the quiet and the upkeep, with reviewers consistently mentioning immaculate shower blocks, well-spaced pitches and owners who take the adults-only rule seriously. The glamping pods are properly kitted out, with a double bed, sofa, TV, fridge and heating, and a bistro table on the decking over the pond. Run Cottage is open all year. Touring pitches start from £30 a night in low season and the pods from £60.
