About this site

St Helena's Caravan Park is an all year touring and camping site set in around 40 acres of woodland and open grass on the northern edge of Leeds. It sits close to Horsforth and Bramhope, roughly 6 miles north west of Leeds city centre, with Otley and the wooded ridge of the Chevin within easy reach for walkers. The layout splits into two parts: an adults only camping and touring area for a quieter stay, and a separate family friendly field that also takes glamping bell tents. Pitches come as grass, all weather grass and hardstanding, most with optional electric hook up, so tents, caravans and motorhomes are all sorted. Fire pits are allowed and can be hired on site, with logs sold by the park, a proper draw on cool Yorkshire evenings. Regular visitors praise the spotless shower and toilet blocks, the calm wooded setting and the helpful owners, though anyone after a lively holiday park with bars and entertainment should look elsewhere. Dogs are welcome across the site. St Helena's is a handy base for Leeds, Otley and the Yorkshire Dales beyond, and it is open year round, with pitches booked through the park's own booking system.

Good to know

Is St Helena's Caravan Park adults only?
No, the park has an adults only camping and touring area plus a separate family friendly field, so couples wanting quiet and families with children can both stay. The family field also takes glamping bell tents. Choose the area that suits your group when you book your pitch.
Are dogs allowed at St Helena's?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome across the site. The wooded grounds and the nearby Chevin and Otley footpaths give plenty of room for walks straight from your pitch. Owners should keep dogs under control and clear up after them as usual around the park.
Can you have a campfire at St Helena's?
Yes, fire pits are permitted and can be hired on site, with logs sold by the park, and raised barbecues are fine too. Fires directly on the grass are not allowed, which protects the pitches. That makes it a good choice for relaxed evenings around a fire.
Is St Helena's open all year?
Yes, the park is open all year, so it works for winter breaks as well as summer touring. Facilities include heated shower and toilet blocks and electric hook up on most pitches. Book ahead for bank holidays and school holidays, when the family field fills up quickly.
What pitches are available at St Helena's?
The park offers grass, all weather grass and hardstanding pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, most with optional electric hook up. Glamping bell tents are available in the family field for anyone arriving without their own kit. Hardstanding suits larger motorhomes and stays during wetter months.
How far is St Helena's from Leeds?
St Helena's sits near Horsforth and Bramhope, roughly 6 miles north west of Leeds city centre, so the shops and stations of Leeds are a short drive away. Otley, the Chevin and the wider Yorkshire Dales are also close by for walking and days out.
