Why campers love it here
About this site
Opening Dates: Open All Year If you are looking for a picturesque village setting with an idyllic caravan site, look no further than The Rose Inn at Shotley, just outside Ipswich in Suffolk. With several riverside walks, Shotley village lies between the River Stour & the River Orwell. St Mary's Church is adjacent to a large naval cemetery cared for by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Take a stroll down to shotley point marina where you can visit the Ganges Museum or take the foot ferry across to Harwich. You may even be fortunate enough to see one of the many cruise liners visiting the port of Harwich. Or just enjoy the facilities at The Shotley Rose. Sarah, the landlady will make you very welcome. Food is served Tuesday to Sunday, a good pint of local beer is available - usually Adnams - & dogs & children are well cared for.
