The Three Horseshoes

The Three Horseshoes is a country pub with a small campsite and glamping pods in the Lincolnshire Wolds at Goulceby, near Louth, best known for pairing your pitch with a proper pub on the doorstep. The village sits in the rolling Wolds countryside, roughly 7 miles southwest of Louth and about 6 miles from Horncastle, so you get quiet lanes, walking and cycling straight from the gate. It is a compact site of around 10 pitches, which keeps things peaceful but means you should book early in the season. You can choose grass pitches with metered electric hook-up, gravel hardstanding pitches with metered electric, or off-grid meadow camping for tents, and there is a spread of glamping options from camping pods and en-suite lodge pods to a shepherd's hut. Dogs, children and muddy boots are all welcome. What makes the trip is the pub itself: a self-pour bar, street-food-style menus, a self-serve shop and fires lit indoors in winter, plus fire pits and marshmallows out on the campsite.
