Why campers love it here
About this site
Whitehouse Farm is a small Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location in the hamlet of Heathcote, about a mile from the village of Hartington in the White Peak. As a five van CL it takes just five caravans or motorhomes, with level hardstanding pitches, electric hook up, fresh water, grey waste and chemical disposal, and it stays open all year. This is a members only site for Caravan and Motorhome Club members, and since 2023 it has been adults only, so it suits couples and quiet tourers rather than families or tent campers. The setting is the draw: the Tissington Trail is only around 100 metres away for easy walking and cycling, footpaths lead out from the field gate in every direction, and there are far reaching views across the surrounding Derbyshire dales. Hartington itself is a stroll away, roughly a mile and a quarter, with pubs, cafes, a village store and the well known cheese shop, and there is a local pizza delivery on some evenings if you would rather stay put. Dovedale, Buxton and Bakewell are all within a reasonable drive. Whitehouse Farm is a level, well drained site that suits self sufficient vans after peace and Peak District walking on the doorstep, and it is booked directly as a Club certificated location.
