Why campers love it here
About this site
Willowmere Caravan Park is a quiet grass touring park at Little Cornard, under two miles south of Sudbury in the valley of the River Stour, the stretch of Suffolk people call Constable Country. Cornard Mere, a Suffolk Wildlife Trust nature reserve, lies close by, while Bures is about three miles off, Long Melford four, Lavenham under seven and Colchester roughly eleven. Willowmere takes tents, caravans and motorhomes on level grass, with electric hook-ups and accessible facilities on site. Dogs are welcome and rallies are taken, which makes it a sensible base for clubs touring this corner of Suffolk, but campfires are not allowed and anyone wanting a big park with a clubhouse and entertainment should look elsewhere. Public transport runs close to the site, and Sudbury, the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, gives you a proper market town within a couple of miles. One caveat before you book: the recorded website is dead and the domain now carries unrelated content, so ring the park on 01787 310422 to confirm the season, pitch availability and current prices rather than relying on anything published online.
