Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 31 Opening Dates: 1st March - 31st October Set in the beautiful valley of the River Lune between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park. Woodclose is a quiet and serene place, set within nine acres providing a unique holiday base in an area of outstanding natural beauty for touring, glamping, self-catering flat holidays and private holiday homes. Within a short walking distance, you will find yourself beside the River Lune and the three ribbed mediaeval arches of Devil's Bridge, linked to the legend in local tales. The picturesque market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is within half a mile and has a fine selection of award-winning tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. Alternatively, stock up the fridge with the local produce from specialist shops within the town. An Enjoy England award-winning Park, we continue to be awarded 5-star status and the highest conservation accolade- GOLD by David Bellamy Awards. This award is made to parks which can demonstrate policies showing active concern for the environment. We strive to protect animal habitats and efficient use of energy and recycling. Onsite we have excellent toilet facilities, including showers. No charge is made for hot water. Straighteners & hair dryers are available for a small charge. The site has a very well stocked shop from essentials, local produce to camping accessories and gifts/toys. Gas is available. A small play park for the children is also on site
