Why campers love it here
About this site
YHA Land's End is a small, independently run YHA partner hostel and walkers' campsite in Cot Valley near St Just in west Cornwall, and it is currently closed for reconfiguration and refurbishment with no reopening date published. The site sits in a sheltered valley between Cape Cornwall and Land's End, five minutes from the South West Coast Path and 15 minutes on foot from St Just, with Porth Nanven beach (known as Dinosaur Egg Beach for its rounded granite boulders) at the mouth of the valley. The offer here is deliberately simple: exclusive hire of the whole hostel, two camping pods overlooking the sea, and a limited number of tent pitches reserved for coast path walkers arriving on foot, so touring caravans, motorhomes and drive-up campers are not catered for. Facilities include a self catering kitchen, licensed bar, dining room, drying room and free parking, with an outdoor washing up and food prep area for campers and pod guests. Guests rate the spot highly (4.6 on Google from 116 reviews), and the 5.9 mile clifftop walk from the door to Land's End via Sennen Cove is a brilliant way to earn a pasty. Check yha.org.uk for YHA Land's End reopening updates before planning a trip to this quiet corner of Cornwall.
