Our Thoughts
This course will try and teach you all the basic bushcraft skills in about 5 hours.
While the voucher is for one person and you can buy more, there might be other people on the course – which I liked, it got me to meet other like minded individuals. I got chatting to a guy named Jon (without the h) and we’re off camping together to try some of the skills we learnt.
Our instructor was very knowledgable and friendly but most importantly there was one member of the struggling and he took the extra time and effort to make sure she could do it all. He repeated the steps several times, giving 1 to 1 advice. So don’t worry if you have never done this before, it was designed for a person like you.

You’ll learn basic survival techniques like building traps and snares, lighting fires by friction, building shelters, navigation, using cutting tools safely, water purification, and how to cook when you’re hundreds of miles from a microwave.
Our Thoughts
It’s not much different from the one day course in terms of the basic elements.
However as you have more time you really hone in on them skills. Plus you learn additional skills like setting traps and navigation.
The great advantage is you get to sleep in the shelter you have built and if you know your going to be spending the night in the shelter it doesn’t half motivate you to make sure its perfect. That was what I found the difference between the one day and the two day courses. The only day was great, but the added pressure of knowing you was sleeping in your shelter

Great course is fire lighting is your weak area. It was great that this course is for two people.
You might ask what can you learn about lighting a fire in 4 hours – surely once you have learnt to light a fire what more can you do.
Well you would be wrong, there are many ways to light a fire depending what’s around you.

Yes, you do get a real expert – not to say the ones from the other courses aren’t, just don’t expect to see Bear Grylls or any other ‘TVExpert’, don’t get me wrong these guys know there stuff and are very knowledgable.
