Pitches: 11 Opening Dates: 1 May - 30 September Alde Garden is a tiny campsite in the heart of Suffolk with an eclectic range of rustic, quirky accommodation as well as a handful of small tent pitches. Just 2 hours from London by train, and only a 20min drive from Suffolk's diverse coastline - Alde Garden makes the perfect spot for a holiday, retreat or short break. Tucked away in a tiny secret garden hides an eclectic array of quirky accommodation plus a range of communal facilities including a campfire, covered field kitchen, compost loo and jungle shower. Rustic pathways take you through the trees, shrubs, flowers & wildlife areas and the garden is also home to many friendly ducks & chickens. Next to the garden is The Sweffling White Horse - our award-winning real ale pub. This friendly and relaxed site is perfect for couples young & old - as well as small families - who wish to spend time amongst nature. What is the garden like? The garden is small & peaceful with a feeling of wild camping amongst friendly ducks & chickens. Winding pathways lead through trees and wildlife areas leading to small clearings where each of the accommodation options hide. At night the site is enchantingly lit by solar lights and the dark sky is perfect for stargazing. garden-map-2018-1000px Friendly communal areas allow you to get to know other guests, but the accommodation also has enough seclusion to allow you private time too. To maintain the ambience of the garden, cars are kept in a car park adjacent to the site (not next to the pitches) and we dont allow ball games, amplified music or large groups - so you can expect a feeling of tranquillity alongside nature. Sometimes, however, there are families with children - so if youre looking for complete peace & quiet its best to avoid weekends and school holidays. The site is on the outskirts of the village of Sweffling - meaning that play areas, footpaths/cycle routes & open spaces are just a stones throw away. We look forward to welcoming you to our garden!
